Protect America

My husband and I has been planning to contact the home security office so that we can reactivate the security system that we have in our home. It has been disconnected since the owner of the house moved out and we just moved in. We lived in a bad neighborhood temporarily and even if we are only staying for a short period of time, I want myself and my family be safe and away from harm. One time, someone broke in our garage and took our extra big TV. We just found out the next day that it was gone. That is why we badly need to have a home security system. I told my husband that we can inquire for a wireless security system at Protect America. I checked their website and they offer various packages with comparison to the other provider. The Copper package is offered free. I like also the Gold Package which is offered at $99 but with motion detector. That would be great. If you are interested too, you can call their tolle free number: 877-470-2751. Check their website too.

Having Fun in New Orleans

shrimp and crab feast :)

I miss New Orleans now, specially the weather. It felt like I was in Philippines when I was there. It was raining almost everyday, it was warm and humid. I had a great time though. Spending time with my in-laws was great, they were such nice people. I'm glad I belong to this family. I'm looking forward to meet them again someday. Thanks for the hospitality and love guys!

May 3-9 is the American Humane Association’s Be Kind to Animals Week®. HomeAgain proudly supports this by donating a portion of the proceeds for every companion animal registered to the program during this time frame. HomeAgain is giving $1 as donation to bringpetshome.com. BringPetsHome is a fundraising Web site specifically created to help shelter animals. It is nice to know that such organization cares and helps a lot for animals' care and shelter. Meanwhile, HomeAgain encourages pet owners to “be kind” to their companion animals or pets this week by outfitting them with proper identification that cannot fall off or become impossible to read.

The Web site, bringpetshome.com, boasts a collection of highly popular retailers. A part of the purchases made through this Web site goes to animal shelters for food and medical care. So there is no additional cost to visitors. By the way, HomeAgain is a comprehensive national pet-recovery service that goes beyond micro chipping which is a permanent form of identification for pets. It gives security to animals since this will never fade or fall off. So when the pets are lost from the owners, They will be located easily and be reunited right away. If you are interested with their program, you may visit the website and check their annual subscription fee. The HomeAgain members have telephone access to pet-recovery specialists and 24/7 emergency medical assistance at 1-888-HomeAgain. Their program also includes up to $3,000 (less a $50 deductible) in medical pet insurance for lost pets and up to $500 in reimbursable travel expenses for pets found more than 500 miles from home. If you are hesitant, just remember that this program has helped recover more than 500,000 lost pets already. Visit now at the Home Again Web Site for more details of this program.

Bourbon St

So this is the popular Bourbon St or the French Quarter in New Orleans. We visited it one night and we enjoyed the sight. There were lots of people and places to hang out. Talking about Mardigras beads, these were everywhere. I was even given some even without showing anything. LOL You know what I mean :)

Sad Day

Posted by Felicity | Wednesday, August 05, 2009 | | 0 comments »

We are leaving for New Orleans this Thursday to attend my father-in-law's funeral. Hubby's dad has been hospitalized lately for broken hips and now finally rested in peace. It will be my first plane ride being pregnant for 3 months and we hope to have a safe trip. I will be meeting my in-laws for the first time too. Sad, because I'll meet hubby's dad this way.
